Global Coordinates has the capabilities
to create and cartograph beautiful and accurate digital
maps. A digital map does not get restricted to display
of political boundaries, rivers and locations but
has information in layers drawn upon the principals
of a historical and cultural gazetteer.
This can then be used to provide a persuasive introduction
to the face of the world. Apart from displaying the
political features and locations of places, it can
give a 3-dimensional effect of the vagaries of physical
features, the heights and the depths of landscape.
Needless to say, any map in GIS can be updated and
new features also can be added very easily.
Global Coordinates can also use Remote Sensing to
upgrade the maps and / or create 3-D views.
Global Coordinates has a team experienced
in creating a complete digital Atlas - including getting
approval from Survey Of India if required. Samples
of our work can be provided on request.
"The good cartographer
is both a scientist and an artist. He must have a
thorough knowledge of his subject and model, the Earth....
He must have the ability to generalize intelligently
and to make a right selection of the features to show.
These are represented by means of lines or colors;
and the effective use of lines or colors requires
more than knowledge of the subject, it requires artistic
judgment." Erwin Josephus Raisz (1893-1968).”

The cartography team at Global Coordinates
is capable of producing accurate beautiful digital
maps and in any format required, namely dxf, Shape
files and/or AI with EPS files. We are also capable
of handling the entire process of creating a customized
map from start to finish, ready for publishing.
Digital Cartography can be used by
government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational
institutions, and businesses to turn raw data into
meaningful information. GC utilizes the latest mapping
technology to produce maps that give life to the underlying
data. The powerful impact that well-designed maps
have on viewers has been amply demonstrated and GC
believes that most organizations can use digital maps
to plan and analyze agency activities, effectively
share information with current or potential funders,
communicate ideas, and answer questions in research
papers and reports.
Most data collected by organizations has a spatial
component, and Digital Cartography can help see this
data in a new light. GC can create maps using client
proprietory data alone, or combine it with other data
sets, such as census data, health data, and crime
data. We can also help organizations assess the types
of data they collect and the methods used to collect
this data.
